How annoying is it when you go into a new store, want to try something on, but have to take three different sizes into the changing rooms because you're not familiar with their sizing policies?

Clothes sizes vary according to each manufacturer and can also vary according to the cut and style of the garment as well so they should only be taken as a rough guide.

If you order clothes online from the same clothes store frequently, then after a while you will get to know what size and style garments suit you best for a particular brand.

Correct fit is important otherwise the clothes will be uncomfortable and won't look good. Sizes are given in centimetres and inches for conversion purposes. US sizes are usually about one size larger than UK sizes. If buying from a foreign designer, you may need to know your size in European sizes.
