Embroidery is the process of sewing a digitized design onto garments.

Once your logo or design is professionally digitized, it can be loaded into our industrial embroidery machines, ready for sewing. Every design is tested on similar material to your garments to ensure the best possible results before any work is undertaken.

Embroidery creates an impression of quality & style. It is best suited to smaller areas, particularly on lighter garments. Excellent for polos shirts, shirts, jackets, caps, knitwear etc. Embroidery will normally outlast any garment onto which it is applied. Recent advances in embroidery software mean that design /set up costs can be low and the generation of embroidery machines run quickly with 12 -15 colours being applied in a single operation. Large designs can be time consuming to produce & so costs can increase significantly relative to the size.

FOR - long lasting, looks expensive, full colour at no extra cost.

AGAINST - more expensive than printing, especially for large designs & not always suitable for very light  materials.

Embroidery Prices

When you place an order for embroidered clothing there are initially two charges:

Embroidery Setup ( Digitizing ):

The first is an embroidery setup charge which covers the cost of having the design digitized. This is a one off charge as once we have done this your design is stored and hence if you place an order in the future there will be no need to pay another setup charge. Embroidery setup is normally charged  per 1000 stitches . An average company or club logo is approximately 5000 / 10000 stitches. We currently charge a flat fee of £20 (incl VAT) for logos within 10cm x 10cm. For logos / designs outside this range we will advise of additional costs before undertaking any work.

Embroidery Per item:

The second embroidery charge is a 'per item' charge which applies to each item that the design is applied. This charge basically covers the cost of labour, materials and our other manufacturing overheads. The per item charge is directly based on the number of items to be embroidered with the same logo and the number of stitches:
